Corson’s Inlet State Park – Ocean City, Cape May County, NJ
Distance –  Rail trail – 0.75 total out-and-back.  Yellow Trail – 0.25 miles one way.  Red Trail – 0.4 miles one way.  We did 2.4 miles total covering all three of these and a beach walk back from the Red to Yellow Trail.  Can also extend this beach walk around the tip of the island.
Type – Series of out-and-back trails that can be looped off with beach walks if you choose.
Difficulty:  2 of 10
Total score: 7 of 10

Surface – gravel (rail trail) or sand (Yellow or Red Trails)

Distance – 1.2 miles of trails (we did 1.7 miles with some backtracking, overlapping, and poking around)
Type – Mostly a lollipop
Difficulty:  1 of 10
Total score: 8 of 10

Open – 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM.  I was warned that the park gate is locked PROMPTLY at 4 PM, so make sure you are out of the gate.

Terrain – woodlands along small lakes

Lizard Tail Swamp Preserve – Cape May Court House, NJ

Lizard Tail Swamp Preserve – Cape May Court House, Cape May County, NJ
Distance – Listed as 3 miles of trails.  We did an outside loop of most of the Yellow Trail plus all of the Blue Trail, which came in at 3.1 miles on my GPS.
Type – Two connected loops
Difficulty:  3 of 10 – a few wet spots (probably okay for strollers with big wheels)
Total score:  8 of 10

Terrain – Forest and swamps

Distance – 1.2 miles
Type – Lollipop
Difficulty:  2 of 10 (Note: this looks like it would be a good spot to be a mosquito in the warm months, plan accordingly)
Total score:  7 of 10
